May 8: Confusion of Growth

It’s harder to see the sky

Now that the leaves

Have come in, the stark

Clarity of winter eclipsed

By spring’s urgent green

Confusion of growth,

Ferns and tendrils, shoots,

Blades, buds and blooms

Appearing each day,

But sky and sun are there,

Beckoning, beaming, ready

For us to see when we

Step out and look up.

February 9: Too Much Nose Blowing

Too much nose blowing in this lovely hotel room where I wish I'd slept.
