In a time of fragmentation and disintegration,
we long for oneness of heart and mind.
In a time of discord and dissonance,
we long for the sweetness of harmony.
In a time of greed and narrow self-interest,
we long for the richness of living for each other.
Let us pause for a moment of quiet to make space
for oneness, for sweetness, for richness of heart and mind.
May we build for tomorrow a nobler world than we have known.
May we create a new community of greater understanding.
May we bind our hearts together in hymns of love.
And, in so doing, may all be made free.
