Evidence of decline in values
like compassion, equality and
concern for the common good
lies all around us, in state houses,
in school boards, in churches,
in the White House, in the news,
in the inane bigotry of fearful
people and those exploiting them.
We cannot keep devaluing Truth
and expect people to be true.
